Telepathy - Permission Post
John Young has Telepathy. He is very good, highly trained at it. In his canon, this means he can read people's thoughts. In fact, it happens kind of naturally for him to pick up surface level thoughts without even trying sometimes. He can also read deeper than that, but I won't have him do that unless we work it out ahead of time/you tell me you want him to. If he is touching someone, John can even see their memories to the extent that he can feel what they were feeling at the time, but this is nothing that he would do without someone's permission so we can work that out ICly/OOCly if it ever comes up.
Obviously, if your character is a telepath or has mental blocks going on, we can work out whether he'd be able to read anything or not. John might notice if he can't pick up anything and know they have telepathic/blocking stuff going on, but I won't have him read anything even basic surface thoughts without your permission. In turn, John's mind is pretty much a giant wall. The most powerful telepath in his canon wasn't really able to get past certain walls inside of him so he is very trained in keeping people out of his own head too.

Can John read your character's thoughts? Yes, for the first two ladies! Elsa can be good at mental suppression - perhaps even moreso now that she has her powers, but if he focuses, he should be able to hear something.

If yes, how will you indicate these thoughts which he can read? Pretty much anything is fair game. Riley doesn't have any defense against it. Anything in Italics for sure but any stream of thoughts in the narration are fair game as well. You can assume the harder she's focusing on it the louder she is about it.

Can John read your character's thoughts? Surface thoughts and projected thoughts. Will does have the ability to project and receive thoughts and images.
If yes, how will you indicate these thoughts which he can read? Italics
Is your character immune to telepathy? In a limited kind of way. As I've mentioned Will can use a kind of telepathy. He's fairly powerful, but doesn't have much experience. I'm mostly guessing here based on what's implied in canon. But heres what I have on what Will can do.
*Project and receive thoughts and images, with some emotional transfer. If he receives an image of a place Will can tell how the person who sent it to him feels about it.
*Feel when someone is trying to break into his mind.
*Protect his surface thoughts with basic misdirection (for example guarding important information by thinking very hard about breakfast). This also seems to imply that his surface thoughts could be read. I would expect that anything deeper is protected, even if Will isn't entirely aware.
*attack other minds by lashing out with his own mind. This seems to work on a mostly instinctual level.
I would add that Will's mind is not entirely human.

Is your character immune to telepathy? Its complicated? Danny's canon never really addresses telepathy specifically. Danny seems to have some immunity to brainwashing and mental attacks, explained as his not being entirely one thing or the other. So he slips by attacks aimed at the human mind, and he slips by attacks aimed at ghost minds. But he can be affected once someone realizes that and alters the attack to compensate.
If so, can John notice that he can't read their mind? go ahead and notice.

Can John read your character's thoughts? Yes! For more specifics, Damon may be harder to read as a vampire, but it's still doable seeing as how he's not an Original. Ammy is more prone to think in images, sounds, feelings, and scents, which may be different from the people-shaped crowd. Lastly, for Adam, he does have a lot of augmentations (and not all are activated) so while it does not make him immune to telepathy, it might interfere a little bit. I would say that generally Adam's thoughts are free game, but there might be static, so to speak, every now and again.

Can John read your character's thoughts? What I said on the other permissions post I encountered like this is that yes, he can... but Skuld's mind isn't a normal human mind. Her mind is part of an intricate computer system, and on top of that, she is a mentally hyperactive genius. So reading her mind at first would be a lot like staring at computer code overlaid with mathematical formulae while both are moving rapidly across each other, while listening to a particularly loud modem. So, in short, yes he can but... good luck to him with that.
If yes, how will you indicate these thoughts which he can read? Same as with Kaylin, if he can get the knack for reading her, anything in post is fair game, beyond that feel free to ask.

Can John read your character's thoughts? Sure! They are going to possibly hate him for this, possibly make him their new "toy" to keep an eye on him.

Also after the first time he reads either of them, he can see the charas and eggs, I would think. Given that they think of each other as separate people, most of the time, just from reading surface thoughts, he might actually buy the lie for a while. Your call, just let me know.
